Joan Baez Bio



Joan Chandos Báez was born January 9, 1941. (She is age 70 now). Baez sings, plays guitar, piano and the ukulele. Baez wrote music for awareness of Civil Rights, The Vietnam War, human rights, gay and lesbian rights, among others. Baez is a songwriter, a folk singer and an activist. Her music is well known today and has influenced many artists of our time.
